A mansion in Piedmont has claimed the record for the highest-priced in the city’s history. Known as The Hampton House, the property is for sale for $18.5 million.
Built in 1926, the classic Mediterranean-style home has been part of design showcases over the years. The home maintains many period features, including a grand arched entry, elegant woodwork and grand rooms for entertaining.
The property spans 11,150 square feet and has seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms, as well as a one-bedroom, one-bath guest house. The main house has been completely renovated and includes a chef’s kitchen, a media room and a custom wine cellar. French doors open out onto multiple decks and patios on the home’s exterior. The home sits on over an acre of land with rolling lawns, a lush garden and a tennis court.
Sarah Abel and Julie Gardner with Compass are the listing agents.
If sold for the listing price, the home would eclipse the highest sale in Piedmont made last month at $12 million.
