NEW LONDON — Authorities have determined that a fireplace that drastically broken an condominium creating Saturday was deliberately set, the New London Fireplace Office announced Wednesday.

Firefighters had been termed to Rosemary Street Saturday for the hearth. Two firefighters endured minimal injuries and had been taken to the medical center. They have since been introduced, Hearth Marshal Vernon Skau claimed in a news launch.

No other accidents have been claimed, according to Skau.

“Significant fireplace problems happened through the condominium creating,” Skau stated. “After a collaborative investigation by Law enforcement and Fireplace Investigators, the fire has been determined to be deliberately established by someone.”


Authorities are investigating the incident and said there may perhaps be an award of up to $2,500 for info leading to the arrest or conviction of the man or woman accountable for the criminal offense.
